Day 37 in Ecuador

Cayambe
The final day of the week began a little different than usual. A new team had come in yesterday morning and had stayed the night last night. With them here, la Casablanca attempted to house about 50 people. So the morning was a bit hectic, but I was still able to feel rested for the day, which was nice. After breakfast, Dale and I had the opportunity to share about the ministry of Cumbre Alta to the team that had been staying in Quit

o the entire week. They seemed really interested in the ministry and one of the ladies actually came up to me after we talked and asked for more information about Cumbre Alta. I love that she wanted to know more and to be able to share about a ministry I am passionated about was really cool.

Dale and I then began our work day, continuing to improve the missionary report we have been working on for awhile. At lunch, we were expecting to eat with Edwards again but he was unable to show. Instead we took some time after lunch to clean out the pantry and then did about an hour more of work.

After we finished our work, Dale and I headed to Carolina Park to hang out a bit. We had wanted to hang out with some Cumbre players or some other interns, but everyone was busy so it turned into a date. We went paddleboating in the park and had a beautiful view of the mountains. We took a moment to be quiet and just enjoy hearing the sounds around us. Both of us felt a sense of tranquility and just realized how God is in complete control of everything. It was a really cool experience!

We then went to Quicentro mall and ate some churrascos in the food court. We finally made our way home on a very crowded bus that took almost an hour. The rest of the evening was very relaxing, just hanging out and Skyping Jeni.

It was very nice having a more relaxing day today after yesterday was superbusy. Thanks for all your prayers throughout this week! It has been awesome to reflect back on this week and see all that God has been doing. Even though my time seems like it is coming to an end, God still has a lot planned for me, so be praying that I would make the most of these last couple of weeks!

Dios Bendiga,
Nico
